On Friday 27th April the new School Government were given an official welcome by MP Graham Jones and Councillor Clare Pritchard. As part of the presentation both MP Graham Jones and Councillor Pritchard explained their roles and how they fit into the democratic process. Members of the School Government were given the opportunity to ‘hot seat’ both guests asking questions ranging from the role of the guests to current national concerns, e.g. youth unemployment.

Hannah Fielding, Prime Minister quoted: “It was an excellent opportunity for members of the School Government to get a true reflection of what the role of an MP and a Councillor involves. It was inspiring for us and shows us what we need to do to bring about positive change.”
